Teen Wolf is a television drama series on MTV, that premiered on June 5, 2011 and is an “in name only” remake of the 1985 movie.

Teen Wolf stars Tyler Posey as the newly bitten werewolf Scott McCall.

Teen Wolf takes place in 2011.

Teen Wolf was developed by Jeff Davis (creator, “Criminal Minds”) who also serves as executive producer.

Russell Mulcahy (“Highlander,” “Resident Evil: Extinction”) directed the pilot and five other episodes of the first season and serves as co-executive producer.

The pilot was conceived and written entirely by Jeff Davis. Jeph Loeb & Matthew Weisman get a writing credit on the show due to union rules which require it because they created the original characters in the 1985 film and the show uses the names of those characters as well as the werewolf theme.

The series is a co-production with MGM, in association with Lost Marbles Productions, Inc., First Cause, Inc. and DiGa.
